Linen backed map of Kansas ca. 27" x 34" produced and printed by Julius Bien using photolithography process which was still relatively new at the time. Aged darkened with light soiling from exposure and age, no folds noted but not completely flat - probably was rolled up for a long time and somewhat flattened in that form. Very nice scarce map with outline color showing railroads, waterways, forts and some other features of interest. Produced by the Dept. of the Interior with Roeser as the principal draughtsman. Will be shipped rolled in a mailing tube or box.
