About this Item

First US edition, first printing ("First Limited Edition" is stated on the copyright page - the number of copies in the limitation is unstated*). A crisp, fine unread book ('as new') in a bright, fine dustjacket with trivial rubbing to the edges and corners (barely noticeable). The jacket is unfaded, uncreased and unclipped ($6.00). Signed on the half-title page by both the subject of this biography, Stella Dysart, in blue ball-point pen, as well as by the author, Merle Armitage, in blue fountain pen - scarce thus. This is a beautifully designed and produced book, with the drawings on end-papers, title- page and chapter heads by the author. The symbols used in the first pages of the book are from pottery designs by New Mexico Indians. *Aren't all books, in fact, "limited" editions? (I don't believe there are any unlimited, infinite editions.). Bookseller Inventory # B954
