About this Item

Quarto. Original stiff printed wraps portfolio with seven printed folders containing loose leaves. Collection of material defining the position of the NSDAP on the Judenfrage (The Jewish Question) presented by the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith. The material was taken from the archives of the Jewish organization and is presented strictly as quotes without judgment and commentary on the Nazi documents. It illustrates the diabolical stance, e.g. in the words of Hitler and Goebbels, and highlights the anti-Semitic position of the NSDAP. The selection of the documents for this portfolio was carried out with the utmost sense of responsibility. The publication was presented to President von Hindenburg right before the critical elections of 1932 in Germany. The seven folders are subdivided in statements of the NSDAP on the Jewish Question:a) the party program and literature, b) in spoken words, c) in plays and songs, d) in the press,e) relating to boycott, f) relating to riots, and g) petitions in the Prussian parliament. The texts are based on German newspaper reports on these topics with the section containing information on physical assaults on Jewish people from the end of 1929 to the end of 1932 representing the largest contingent of reports. Text in German, Gothic script. Tears and chips at external edges of portfolios and some rubbing, some age-toning but otherwise in near fine condition. Bookseller Inventory # 40814
