About the Author:

Lachman Mehta was born in 1928 in North India. Following the family military tradition, he joined the Indian Navy and experienced the world as an officer on board a naval vessel, before settling in Dublin in 1960 where he married Eileen and started a family. Battling the scourges of discrimination in a conservative Ireland of the era, he overcame prejudice to become a highly respected member of his local community and excelled in his career as an aircraft engineer and lecturer in engineering at what is now DIT. Now in his 80s, he is working on his second book.
