About this Item

Stated first edition, presumed first printing. This rare edition is still very tight; the spine ends and corners show definite wear but the book itself is solid. Childlike Inscription written in pencil, should be removable with a very soft eraser (I tried a not-so-soft; it removed pencil but left slight ghost of letter.) Inside back cover has small (3/4 in) round sticker from the "Boys and Girls' Own Bookshop in Portland, Ore. First three pages are not loose, but have become unattached from the binding. On the inside of the back cover, a small child's heart containing the words "I Love You" has been drawn and erased. Bookseller Inventory # 000945
