About this Item

First edition, first issue binding with misspelling "Malcom" on the spine. Cloth, 473 pps. After a decade of obscurity following his death, the work of F. Scott Fitzgerald had a rebirth in the early 1950s, propelling the author to his status on the very top shelf of 20th century American authors. This collection of 28 of his best pieces of short fiction (he wrote about 160 short stories) includes 10 stories previously unpublished in book form. Carefully chosen and with an introduction by Fitzgerald's friend and contemporary, Malcolm Cowley. A tight copy in lightly soiled dust jacket with some rubbing and edgewear including a small chip to the top edge of the front panel. Bookseller Inventory # D645
