Tight, square, bright copy with firm corners. No remainder mark. No internal markings. Photo illus. in b&w. No DJ. B&W photo in pocket on FFEP of a bombing crew (10 men) - On Dec. 16, 1944 after a mission to Stuttgart, Germany. There are notations throughout the text by T/Sgt. Daniel "Clint" Pentz of Waynesboro, PA in ink and by his hand and underscored in yellow ink in which Pentz took part as the radio operator of 29 missions. The last one on Feb. 16th for Pentz's crew. This isn't a formal history - rather it features stories and dates and reflections from many different participants on all aspects of life: military - missions - interactions with the British civilian populace plus after the war and the formation of the 486 O&W Bomb Group Association in 1975, the year of the group's first reunion. This group is still active today and has it's own web site to update information. Unusual association copy with extra historic reference points. USPS Tracking provided.
