About the Author: DR. Jian Ren Huang was put in a labor camp around Russian border in 1965 when he just completed his undergraduate study of University. He spent eight years at the camp. Later he came to US and received PH.D in Mechanical Engineering at age of 51. After retirement he devoted fully time to Chinese writing with a pen name Ge Qiu Shan, which is a hill located near the camp he worked. His interests are in seeking essential meaning of the human life and human society. He is one of well know Chinese writers overseas.
