About this title

The novel tracing the historic 1925 tri-state storm that ravaged individual and community lives is told in unforgettable scenarios. Time and again the author summons eloquent simplicity to describe how friends, family and strangers were unexpectedly forced to meet Satan's evil dread in the form of black clouds, deafening roar of uncontrollable winds and slashing rains.

About the Author:

G. L. Brookover is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of West Virginia University with a B.A. and M.A. in communication studies. She is a freelance landscape photographer and avid weather enthusiast. A member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, Brookover has served as a public school volunteer as science team leader. Her students worked extensively on projects flown by NASA on suborbital launches from NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
