About this Item

This is a scarce fifteen-page booklet. It begins with a reprinted item from a 1/24/1918 Tokyo newspaper about a huge tusk carved by an artist named Takeuchi which took over two years to complete. It was immediately purchased by one E. B. Burnap of Canahoharie, New York. There is a notice at the front that it would be on exhibition and for sale at a New York gallery in the Fall of 1921.~ Fair Condition (the covers are chipped and soiled, upper tips missing from first two pages, tape repairs to rear cover, no loss of text).
