About this Item

STANTON, Louise Turck. The Story of Deadstick the Airport Kitten. Illustrated by the author. With a Foreword by Amelia Earhart. NY: G. P. Putnam's Sons, (1934). Pp. [55], unpaginated. Oblong 8vo, orange ill. cloth, black titles to front, plain spine. A delightful story of a cat who lived "in a corner of the farthest hangar", who knew the names of all the planes, such as the "Sikorsky", the "Bellanca", the "Aeronca", the low-winged "Boeing" Bombers and the monoplane known as the "Gee Bee" Sportster, all which visited the airport regularly. Spine ends and corners chipped with some fraying, short section of "nibbling" to the lower front hinge, front board slightly shaky, small white spot to front, owner's name inked to ffep, else a nice copy with bright illustrations. 200.00.
