A detailed history of Essex County in Massachusetts, from its founding, early colonial history and through the 19th century, etc. This includes histories of events in the towns of Salem and Gloucester, the witchcraft hysteria and trials, ships and shipping, life with Native Americans, daily life, fisheries, businesses, biographies of notable people, etc. GOOD+ condition. Spines sunned and browned, with blue scuff marks present on each. General fading, minor scuffing and edgewear to the covers. Minor soiling. Interiors clean and solid with minor toning.
