About this Item

light wear to tips, corners and edges of the book, a bit more to the jacket which is edge worn, chipped at tips, a couple of closed tears. Previous owner's name to the half-title page, else clean and unmarked. First printing, no others noted. Mt Washington, the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at (6,288 ft or 1,917 m and the most prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River) is famous for dangerously erratic weather. In the mid-19th century it was developed into one of the first tourist destinations in the nation, with construction of more bridle paths and two hotels.Later it also became a site of scientific reasearch. Most items ship with tracking numbers and(generally over $15.00) jacket protectors if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible. Bookseller Inventory # 1002146
