Designed to teach children the proper treatment of animals; with forty-four illustrations; edited with introduction by J. H. Willard. Very good(+) to near fine copy; no dust jacket; Cloth is light edgeworn with light fraying to the open corners and spine ends; cloth lightly soiled from handling and some light liquid stains to cover; previous owner's last name signed in ink to front paste-down; light dust soil to edges of leaves o/w they are free of marks; very few pages have very light foxing freckles o/w they are clean, bright and free of marks and creases; binding is solid and square; a gently used copy holding up very well for its age.
