180 pages of brand new beautifully produced history for this elite club located north of Palm Beach, Florida. This is Seminole's first club history and was produced to celebrate the club's 75th anniversary. The book has the Seminole logo on the cover in silver and this is repeated on the blue protective slipcase. The book also comes with a dust jacket. Seminole was built in the 1920s as a winter course for wealthy northerners. It was designed by Donald Ross and is consistently ranked as one of the top courses in the world. This nice history written by James Dodson and accompanied by photography by Joann Dost, chronicles the course from its inception. Founded by E.F. Hutton, Seminole was a refuge for Ben Hogan who used to practice there prior to playing in the Masters each year. The book includes beautiful color and black and white photos of the course, clubhouse, members, etc. The end of the book is a color spread which has a hole-by-hole analysis of all eighteen holes accompanied by pictures of each. It took 75 years to get a history of this great course and it was worth the wait! We specialize in golf books. Bookseller Inventory #
