The story of Jim McCauley who was a common cowhand, then after being stove-up by bronoc-busting and various mishaps, he returned to farming in Texas. His story is centered in his teens and twenties, when in punched cows on the long drive, on the Texas plains and in the farther West. facsimile of Lowman #22, Herd #1373.
