Crisp, as new book, one of only 350 copies published for disitribution to members of the Thomas Wolfe Society. Photo of Wolfe at frontis from 1920. Though small at 4-1/2"x7-1/4", the book is significant as it is the first printing the play since it appeared in The Carolina Tarheel, a student publication. The comedy, more completely known as The Streets of Durham, Or Dirty Work at the Cross Roads, A Tragedy in Three Muddy Acts was penned by one Tommy Wolfe at the age of 19 while an undergraduate. Also, joining our staff are our beloved bookshop kitties -- Miss Lil and Mickey. The former provides gentility and elan, and the latter (who is basically a street thug) provides comic relief.
