Wood, Jr. ("A.C. Wood Jr."), with the warmly inscribed calling card of two other prominent residents, Mr. & Mrs. J. Whitall Nicholson (signed "J. Whitall & Eliza.") laid-in; many leaves remain unopened; very mild edge-wear here and there; slight bumps to a few of the corners; a bit of rubbing/discoloration at the bottom spine of Essays (Second Series); a few dings to the front cover of Celtic Literature, which also has a closed tear to the half-title page; some mild foxing to endpapers and pastedowns; contents clean and bright; bindings square and tight; appearing unread; overall, in very good plus to near fine condition.
