(CAD) SIGNED BY AUTHOR, no other markings, Fine, no dust jacket as published in green card slipcase. 22.5 x 15 cm, green cloth with gold spine titles, xxii, 1-133pp. Tipped in colour frontis reproduction of Thomson's "Northern Rver", and three other tipped in plates; B&W drawings in text. This book was set and printed by hand by the author. This is a special edition and it consists of one hundred copies, bound by hand, of which this is number 100. Blodwen Davies was the first biographer of Thomson, and a Theosophist. Blodwen Davies was born at Longueuil, Que 1897 and died at Cedar Grove, Ont 10 Sep 1966. She began writing as a journalist for the Fort William newspaper, before moving to Toronto in 1921 to meet with the GROUP OF SEVEN, a group of artists renowned for their post-impressionist styled portrayals of Canadian landscapes.
