Title page with large woodcut vignette printed in red and black, woodcut head-piece and decorated initials. Small chips to fore-edges and faint stains of preliminaries. Trentacinque, a gentleman scholar and jurist, addresses the Roman law of substitution, that is, the conditional appointment of persons to act as heirs in case the original heirs fail to fulfill their role.
