SIGNED AND INSCRIBED from author in ink to Gretchen Davidson and Harold Adamson. ALS from Nathan to the Adamsons along with 2 period book reviews laid-in. Very good -. FIRST PRINTING. Letter read, written in ink manuscript by the author: "Thanks for your dear note of sympathy. As I told [?] " I feel like the least leaf of the tree " Love to you both- Bob" Letter with newspaper offsetting. PROVENANCE: Gretchen Davidson was a Broadway actress (c. 1925-2002) who performed in The Return of the Vagabond (1940), The American Way (1939), and Many Mansions (1937-1938). Her husband, Harold Adamson (1948-1990), was a lyricist whose work appeared in As the Girls Go (1948-1949), Banjo Eyes (1941-1942), Singin' the Blues (1931), Earl Carroll's Vanities (1931), and Smiles (1930-1931).
