Gilt decorations front cover and gilt lettering spine. Illustrated from the original designs by the artist. Gilt edged pages. Slight chipping to spine top and bottom. Measures 9 x 11 1/2. Small split at spine front and rear end papers. In her opening comments to the book, the artist wants to tell the reader of "hills in sunshine; meadows with perfumed air; the brook fringed with flowering grasses; and cool, quiet reflections; the winding path that suggests the cottage life just over the hills, etc." Short verses accompany illustrations.
