About this Item

Original red cloth, most fine with one volume with a rough corner. Originally published in 1938, this is one of 3020 sets which originally sold for $15.00. This is the set in red cloth, as there was an alternate variant binding in blue cloth. Though many sets were published, this number belies the scarcity of complete sets. They are very rare and seldom offered complete. Major collections seem to overlook the importance of complete sets, and I have seen very few. This set is in extraordinarily nice condition. The red cloth edition, it seems, though a variant, is much scarcer. Bookseller Inventory # 002669
