From Booklist:

Gr. 7-9. Wire-tapping, DNA research, spy planes, and Web tracking are all examined in this entry in the 21st Century Debates series that looks at a timely, hotly debated topic. MccGwire begins with a brief history of the subject, followed by chapters devoted to different types of surveillance, including government, police, corporate, and individual monitoring. The chapters are peppered with colorful photographs and interesting tables that highlight important facts and quotations. Although the book doesn't go into depth, it will serve as a good overview, with a list of further readings adding to its research value. A glossary is appended. Heather Hepler
