About this title:

Synopsis:

Barbara Parker's searing explorations of Miami's glamour, violence, and convoluted legal system have meant soaring sales for each of her novels. In Suspicion of Deceit, Parker's recurring character, attorney Gail Connor, finds her world spinning out of control as her fiance, Anthony Quintana, is questioned in the deaths of several people with ties to Cuba. Gail's investigations on Anthony's behalf only seem to lead to more questions about his past and his loyalties, and the realization that soon she will either save - or destroy - the man she loves. •Simultaneous paperback publication of Criminal Justice by Signet (1,000,000 copies first printing) will contain a teaser chapter from Suspicion of Deceit. •The return of the enormously popular characters from her first two books, attorneys Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana. •Barbara Parker is an Edgar Award Finalist for Best First Novel by an American author.

About the Author: Barbara Parker was trained as a lawyer and worked as a prosecutor with the state attorney's office in Dade County, Florida, before moving into a private practice that specialized in real estate and family law.
