About this title

Synopsis:

Swagazine is a semi-quarterly publication focusing on prose and poetry both as art forms and entertainment media. Social, philosophical and liberal political themes are dealt with, but not in a way that mimics news magazines or purely didactic writing. It is not our goal to educate our readers; we presume they are already educated. Here we examine the dynamic relationship between the mind and the voice; between the conscience of people and the standards of mass society; between the message of the endangered individual and the moronic giant of popular opinion.

This issue deals with paternal/family relationships, love, loss, self-healing, sci-fi, humor, and all things in between.

About the Author:

Issue 8 features a wide range of talented contributors, all combining their special voices to create splendid imagery. Artist Bill Koeb lends his talents to a full-color cover and illustrated poetry. Award-winning comic book artist and painter George Pratt shares his debut entry into short fiction. New works by renowned poets Janet Buck, Lenny DellaRocca, Doug Tanoury, and Lawrence Norton. Returning are regular contributors Colin Campbell, Swagman, Aidan Butler, Bill the Cat, Jim Clark, and screenwriter Alex Ward. Plus newcomers Allison Landa and Steve Mullett.
