Rare. Brown binding, gilt rose design on cover. "The Home Altar" charming illustration protected by tissue of mother and child. "There's no place like home!" the introduction says. Dorothy said it too, well after the 1859 publishing date of this book, copyrighted by L.P. Crown & Co in 1856. Spine coming loose from pages, but none missing. Wear on top and bottom of spine and irregular surface. Poetry and writing about the home, including one verse named "Woman's superiority.". Bookseller Inventory # 001081
