Number 424 0f 880 (980) copies on Velin d'Arches paper. Wood-engraved portrait frontispiece in colours, title-page vignette in sepia, 14 half-page engravings and 15 vignettes in sepia. Original wrappers bound in. Full stiff vellum, ornately stamped and decorated in gilt, spine titled in gilt, marbled endpapers. A very good copy. Twenty-two-line personal dedication by the well-known French fighter pilot and automobile manufacturer Marcel Coadou (1897-1985), dated: December 31, 1950.
