Moderate toning to text, occasional faint dampstaining to margins, top edge excised from upper margin of dedication leaf. Park's System of Marine Insurances was the first legal work on insurance written by an English lawyer and the first book on the subject to appear in America. Holdsworth has called it "the best text-book upon the law of insurance."
