Synopsis:

Founded in 1987 by Professor William Weege, the Tandem Press seeks to recreate the dynamic creative atmosphere of a visiting artist community where students and artists collaborate, work, and learn together. This catalog details the first five years of the program, and offers a color plate of one work from each of the visiting artists and a complete checklist of the exhibition.

About the Author:

Ray Gloeckler taught in the University of Wisconsin– Madison Department of Art from 1961 through 1993 and showed extensively throughout the country during this period.  Andrew Stevens is curator of prints, drawings, and photographs at the Elvehjem Museum of Art (not the Chazen Museum of Art.)
Joann Skrypzak is the curator of the "Design, Vienna 1890s-1930s exhibition at the Elvehjem Museum of Art (now the Chazen Museum of Art.) Barbara C. Buenger is Professor of Art History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Andrew Stevens is curator of prints, drawings, and photographs at the Chazen Museum of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
