Illustrated with 33 black and white drawings. An Index to the Literature of the Tannins, Index of Authors, and Index of Titles, with Authors and Sources. Green cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine. Some wear to extremities with nothing rubbed through, to and bottom of spine just barely beginning to fray, spine darkened and gilt dulled, cover gilt bright, all illustrations present and in fine condition, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. This is Volume II: The Tannins of Oak Bark, Mangrove, Canaigre, and Chestnut. It appears that Vol. I, which was devoted to a general discussion of tannins, was published in 1892. Henry Trimble was Professor of Analytical Chemistry in the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Vol. II only is offered here. Bookseller Inventory # 008001
