FIRST EDITION. 12mo. (19 cm.) [4]5-220p. Introduction by J.A. Beattie. Frontispiece black and white photo of the author with tissue guard. Brown cloth blocked in blind on the front and back covers and with gilt letters on the spine. Very minor wear to extremities with nothing rubbed through, just a hint of fading on the spine, gilt bright, cloth clean, tissue guard intact, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. Isaac Newton McCash [b. 1861] was Superintendent Iowa Anti-Saloon League, and Preident Iowa Children's Home Society, Des Moins, IA. This little book contains advice on divorce, amusements, municipal misrule, corrupt journalism, lynching, social impurity, city carnivals, murder(self and others!), gambling, intemperance, and the civic conscience.
