This FIRST EDITION is in VERY GOOD condition. Edited and introduction by James Brown Scott. Copyright page and bottom of title page both lists 1908 with no other dates or further printings listed. Book is VERY GOOD with navy blue cloth with sunned paper plate on spine. Binding and insides are tight, bright, clean and unmarked. No foxing. Plate on spine is fully legible with edge wear but no tears. Book's spine tips and corners are bumped and mildly worn. Rear cover bottom corner has heavier bump with crease evident. Covers mildly worn and soiled with library plate on front cover "American Library Association Soldiers and Sailors Camp Library". "War Service Library" plate on inside left FEP with newspaper article also pasted in "War is Racket, Says Gen. Butler." 100 year old book in VERY GOOD+ condition without plates.
