About this Item

12mo. (20 cm) 139p. Frontispiece black and white photo of the author plus 20 black and white images: some are drawings by Mary A. Kyle and there are several photos of the Miami Valley and a couple of Washington, including Mount Rainier and the falls of the Nooksak River. Decorative endpapers. Green cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine and with a vignette blind-stamped on the front cover of an arts and crafts floral design. Very minor wear to the extremities with nothing rubbed through, spine gilt slightly dulled, cover gilt bright, cloth clean and bright, textblock ever so slightly canted, all illustrations in fine condition, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket. I have not been able to find out very much about the author. He was born in Union, Ohio in 1865; he married Anna Bell Douglas; and he died in 1922.
