Born in 1899 in Arrow, Warwickshire, England, Dorothy (Taylor) Charques was a researcher, writer and lecturer. With her first husband, Richard Charques, she wrote two books using the pseudonym R.D. Dorothy. THE TRAMP AND HIS WOMAN is her first work under her own name and is a tale of rural English life.
