VERY SCARCE AFRICANA. Johnson was a missionary who worked for 5 years in the kingdom of Toro on the African Equator. He writes with affection and clarity of the customs, religious ideas, and prospects for the future development of Central Africa. The book is profusely illustrated with marvelous photographs of the daily life and interests of the people.
