Illegible antiquarian ink writing at spine head. Old pencil writing partially erased/abraded on front free endpaper; remnant stubs evidencing missing ffly and rfly; rfep creased; foxing/toning throughout with some light moisture stains. Binding is firm. **** VOLUME III. [4], 889-1512 pages (in continuation of Vol. II). Missing ffep and ffly (i.e. title page is immediately opposite fp); obtrusive pencil scribbling on pages 1512, rfly, and rfep; foxing/toning throughout; some creased page corners and light moisture stains; several antiquarian ink stains on several early text leaves. Binding is firm. ***** Acquired among a collection of nineteenth century law books gathered over years by a 20th century Columbus, Mississippi attorney from various descendants of the picturesque southern city's preeminent antebellum bar. Said attorney had matched these 1837 imprints with an 1833 Volume I (listed for sale separately) but divided for sale as the books might have shared Columbus roots but likely originated from different law offices.
