About this Item

Author's second novel, set in the Indian Territory of the 1870's when its legal jurisdiction fell under Hanging Judge Isaac Parker's court in Fort Smith, Ark featuring a young girl and a one-eyed marshal after a gang of outlaws. Basis for the movie and its sequel. Nice copy, tightly bound, no names or other markings, a stated first edition with slight sunning around the top edge and the flaw of someone's shaky coffee cup which caused brown stains around the book's side and bottom edges. It was wiped off and penetrated only a few pages near the center of the book and the front and rear free endpapers and one tiny spot on the first page. Not too bad since the endpapers are brown anyway, but a definite flaw. The dust jacket escaped the problem and except for just a hint of wear at the spine ends appears bright, clean, having been protected by.a removable mylar sleeve for most of its life. Priced commensurately with the condition. Bookseller Inventory # 003265
