Original black cloth binding with stamped decorations on the front and back, still bright gilt lettering on the front and spine. The spine is somewhat discolored and the tips show wear. The frontispiece is a photo of J.N. Hooper and there is a full-page drawing of the building which housed the school (Institute) which he founded. 143 numbered pages. The school was located in Clarksburg, Missouri. This little book is a history of the school from 1876 to 1896. The front free endpaper is missing. Bookseller Inventory # 001653

Closed January and February and most of the summer.
