Illustrated throughout with dozens of engravings, all present, including line drawings, except the Chinese one which was to be folded and inserted on p. 17, no indication that it was ever inserted by the binder. Lots of illustrations of printing presses among other things. Covers a lot of historical territory in over 900 pages. A treasure trove of typography.
