Original blue with silver design cloth with gilt lettering on front cover, silver designs and gilt lettering on spine. Silver blocked designs on front cover. 4 3/4 X 7 inches. 204 pages. 1st American edition. Several pages are uncut. Kielland (1849-1906) was one of the most famous Norwegian realistic writers of the 19th Century. He was a novelist, short story writer, essayist and playwright.
