About this Item

First edition. 492 pps. with name index and general index, appendices 1-9 of technical information and charts. Illustrated with diagrams and photos. Foreword by J.L. Baird. The classic early work on television engineering, published during the infancy of the industry. A scarce book in its own right, this is a wonderful association copy, being the RCA Laboratories library copy bearing a striking black and white art deco design bookplate from the RCA Labs library in Princeton, NJ and also so stamped on the title page and rear card pocket. The RCA Labs facility, with its affiliation with pioneer David Sarnoff, was one of the most important venues of early television development in the United States. Navy blue library cloth binding with spine lettering gilt; a tight, fine copy. An important association piece. Bookseller Inventory # F391
