About this Item

Paperback. 564 pages. Dimensions: 9.0in. x 6.0in. x 1.5in.The message of Gods salvation is both central to, and a crucial part of, the JudeoChristian faith. The unique design of the Tent of the Meeting (or Tabernacle of Moses as it is also known), which was built strictly according to Gods instruction, clearly illustrates how God proposed to provide man with a permanent means of salvation. From the moment it was designed and constructed, the Jews had before them a key to the complete plan of salvation. This book looks at the layout of the tabernacle court and tent to discover all the information necessary to explain why the Messiah had first to come as a suffering servant and how, through understanding Gods word, it is possible for any member of the human race to become spiritually alive to God and enter into a real and dynamic relationship with Him. It explains in detail why the virgin birth was vital to the sinlessness of the Messiah, and why the temple curtain was rent in two from top to bottom at the time of the Messiahs death on the cross. Covering the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, this book takes the reader from the moment of Adams creation through the fall, the calling of Abram and the development of the nation of Israel under Moses and into the Promised Land. It details how the design of the tabernacle and its services were meant to bring the Jews into an intimate and spiritual relationship with their God. The arrival of the Messiah, His life, teaching and cruel death was all foretold in its design. This book is a revelation of truth, and provides the genuine seeker after truth with more answers than questions. It has kept the Jewish Rabbi, who asked for it to be written, quiet for over a year. About this title

Synopsis:

This is a study book about what the Christian faith is all about. The fundamental truths gained from the Bible starting with Genesis and ending with the book of Revelation.
Dealing with man's relationship with God from the beginning and the severance of relationship between God and the first man Adam and his wife Eve as the starting point, the book then focuses on the design of the Tabernacle built by Moses according to the instruction he had received from God on Mount Sinai. The introduction of the worship services and the relationship between Israel and God carries us to the coming of the Messiah and all He did on earth and particularly His sacrifice on the cross at Calvary.
The book also includes a study on the virgin birth - why it was essential, the Jewish understanding of the creation and the Messiah as The Branch.
Understand what this book teaches and you will come to a full understanding of the whole basis of the Christian faith. It really is essential reading.

From the Author:

It seems rather bizarre for a rabbi, who has studied the Old Testament in depth over many years, to ask a Gentile, who received no theological training apart from qualifying as a Methodist Local Preacher, to write a book on something so central to the Jewish faith as the tabernacle made by skilled artisans under the direction of Moses who had seen the tabernacle of God and its layout and received its dimensions direct from God on Mount Sinai.   It started with the question, "Will you write on the tent of the meeting". The reason behind this request is that I had written books on Genesis, Exodus and Numbers and they had been instrumental in Aaron meeting with his Messiah, indeed he told me he had become addicted to my books. Not thinking about the significance of the challenge, I started to write. As with all the other books I have written, it became very clear that God gave me inspiration and by the time I had completed the book, with very important guidance and many challenges from a believing Christian proofreader called Margaret, the rabbi told me that he found the book awesome.   A Gentile teaching a rabbi the about the plan of the tabernacle and how it illustrated God's plan of salvation was amazing in itself until you realise that as the Jews do not accept our Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah, the plan of the complete tabernacle and its relationship to God's plan of salvation would not make sense to them because they could not accept that their Messiah would come twice; first as the suffering servant and then as the triumphant King at the end of days. They had already decided, without consulting God or seeking His guidance, that the Messiah would only come once and then as the triumphant king. But then they did not, would not, understand what God had to achieve through His Son coming to earth the first time as a suffering servant in order to save mankind from spiritual death.    One of the reviewers, Levy, describes the book as deeply spiritual which it needs to be because it is all about a spiritual God dealing with man's rebellion and the need for Him to make His salvation legal and binding. The text of Levy' review is: Very deeply spiritual and may not be an easy read if you have slight doubts about God, as "The Tent of the Meeting" brings the Lord our God up close and personal. Well worth reading. Had Aaron's brother Derek not had me write books on Genesis, Exodus and Numbers I would not have had all the learning and God's teaching on the time of the Israelites under the patriarchs and Moses available to me. Aaron said to me that he had no idea where I would start the book, only to fully understand why I stared at the first verse of Genesis and then end with Revelation.   At over a quarter of a million words and fully based on scripture, this is not an easy read, it needs to be studied. Those who have done just that have told me how it has blessed them and opened their eyes to new biblical truths and brought them closer to God.    It is an awesome book, but I cannot fraudulently claim it as mine because many times I found myself typing away at my computer only to be amazed by what I had written, realising that the deep truths being expressed had previously been unknown to me. You see I learned a very great deal from writing it. There would be times when God would have me look at a commentary, a certain Bible translation, a reference using a concordance, or just give me inspired knowledge direct, almost like he was dictating the book to me.   Having read many of my books and then pamphlets, now in book form, it was further personal correspondence which finally caused Aaron to fully find and give his heart to his Messiah, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He admitted to me that I had changed his life, although it was not me it was my God who channelled His call to Aaron through me.This self published book has changed the lives of many. It could do a lot for your faith but not whilst your copy is still in the book store. It can be obtained from AuthorHouse, Amazon or any store using the ISBN.
