Terry Frost was one of the leading British painters of the Twentieth Century. Although uncompromisingly abstract, his work was nevertheless based on observation, often attempting to convey the sensation of being in a landscape. This title was published to accompany "Painting not Painting" at Tate St Ives which placed Frost in the context of a group of younger artists. Introduction by Susan Daniel-McElroy.
