About the Author: Terry Funk has spent his entire life in the wrestling business and became one of the most influential figures in the history of wrestling. During the course of his 40-year career, Terry became a star in every major wrestling company that he worked for, including WWE, WCW, ECW, and All-Japan Pro Wrestling. His many career highlights include an 18-month reign as NWA world heavyweight champion from 1975–1977, and a pair of stints as ECW Heavyweight Champion in the 1990s. A member of the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame, Funk has experienced success outside the ring, including a major role in the 1978 film Paradise Alley, starring Sylvester Stallone. Terry is most proud of his marriage to his wife, Vicki, his two daughters, and two grandsons.
Scott E. Williams is a criminal justice reporter and an award-winning wrestling columnist for The Galveston County Daily News. He has been a wrestling fan for more than 20 years and co-authored the autobiography of Bill Watts.
