About the Author: Roy Flukinger is the photography curator of the University of Texas's Harry Ransom Humanities Center. He is the author of Fruit of the Orchard and Texas Rangeland. He lives in Austin, Texas. Michael H. Marvins is a professional photographer who has traveled Big Bend National Park for more than twenty years. Limited edition portfolios of his photography have been acquired by the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas in Austin, and The Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Bill Wright is an author and photographer. He serves on the Texas Commission for the Arts and is past chairman of the Texas Historical Foundation. He is the author of several books, including Portraits from the Desert and The Texas Outback.
