States first edition published 1948. Signed by the author and inscribed "to Leonard Sachs to recall some brave adventures in the theatre. 5. May, 1948" on the inside front cover. The text is clean and unmarked with lightly tanned pages. The top page edges show light soil and toning. The cover shows light soil and shelf wear with creases at the spine ends, corner tips and a long crease about 3/4" from the top of the back cover. The hinges are slightly loose and there is a 1/2" split at the top of the back hinge. Bookseller Inventory # 002019
