About the Author: Derek R. Nelson is associate professor of Religion at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He is the author of Sin: A Guide for the Perplexed (2011) and What's Wrong with Sin: Sin in Individual and Social Perspective from Schleiermacher to Theologies of Liberation (2009) as well as many articles in theology and the philosophy of religion.

Joshua M. Moritz is managing editor of the journal Theology and Science and post-doctoral research associate at the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences at the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. He is also director of the Considering God's Works project of the Templeton Foundation funded Scientists in Congregations Initiative at Berkeley Covenant Church.

Ted Peters teaches systematic theology at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. He is author of The Stem Cell Debate (Fortress Press, 2007), God: The World's Future (rev. ed., 2000); and he is co-editor of Bridging Science and Religion (2003) as well as The Gift of Grace: The Future of Lutheran Theology (2005). Formerly the editor of Dialog, A Journal of Theology, he now serves as co-editor of Theology and Science.
