Acceptable first edition folio hardcover (Nicolai Henrici, 1652; 3 volumes in 1: [xxiv], 226, 115, [xv]; [v], 340, [x]; [viii], 286, [liv] pages) as pictured; college-library discard with usual library markings; completely in Latin; approximately 14-1/2 x 9 inches; wooden boards covered with greyish-tan pigskin, blind-stamped decoration; hubbed spine; leather clasps attached to back cover; engraved frontispiece, engraved publisher's device on last printed page; double-columned pages are clean, tight, unmarked, mildly yellowed; limited damp-stain at top edge of early pages; binding sound and square; pigskin has numerous scuffs and small marks; front cover has large damp-stain at top fore-edge corner and what looks like a 3-inch line of black crayon; 7-inch closed split to pigskin at top of front joint (i.e., exterior spine-fold); rub-throughs to pigskin at both bottom fore-edge corners, other small tears and chips; front paste-down endpaper has small label of London bookseller and elegant bookplate of Thomas Weld, Esq., of Lulworth Castle; Weld's son, also named Thomas Weld, was titular bishop of Amyclae and was admitted to the College of Cardinals in 1830; spine has library markings mentioned above and hand-lettered titles at top, some of which are superimposed over earlier titles, as well as 2-inch linear stain near the bottom; pages are quite readable but have varying degrees of waviness, not from dampness but from the manner of binding; at the fore-edge of the front cover there were once metal posts to which the leather clasps attached, but they are now missing; laid in is a hand-written note which was included with the book when it was presented as a gift on Easter, 1873; on its way to you the same or next day in bubblewrap; email confirmation; standard (media) mail takes 4-14 days; expedited (priority) mail takes 2-5 days; international orders go by airmail (6-10 days).
