Title: All Things Considered.
Publisher: The Chicago Daily News, [Chicago]
Publication Date: 1939
Signed: Signed by Author(s)
Edition: 1st Edition
Narrow 8vo. Stiff yellow wrappers. 64pp. Very good. Outer wrappers (only) lightly soiled. First edition of this nifty little volume, one of a number of collections of the popular Chicago newspaperman's mainstay column. O'Brian (1888-1947) joined the "Chicago Daily News" as literary editor in 1928, and began the column for which he's remembered in 1932, continuing it until his death. Signed handsomely and in full in black fountain pen on the inside front wrapper. So popular was this lightweight column concerning whatever struck O'Brien's fancy that the newspaper issued compilations of them in this small narrow format -- signed copies are surprisingly uncommon.
